Virtual Team Building Cooking Challenge

In addition to our onsite events, we’ve tailored our events to include a virtual team building experience using Zoom. It brings you the best aspects of our Iron Chef team building competitions while your teams participate from the safety of their own kitchens.

Setting Up a Virtual Team Building is Easy

You stay where you are and we orchestrate these virtual cooking events from our team building kitchen. We provide you with the recipes and a shopping list ahead of time and the budget for your “secret” ingredients. Once you are stocked up, our chefs walk you through meal preparation with techniques on everything from how to stuff and fold an empanada to how to get the perfect sear on a chicken breast.

Then, we start the clock and you and your teammates cook, while we look on. When we are all done, you must plate your creation and showcase it to the other virtual participants. Then, we all take a break to eat. After the meal, we announce the winners.

Then you nominate an MVP and we discuss the lessons learned from the cooking and the teamwork. We also take photos throughout the event and provide you with a commemorative slide show!

"Oh, That's What Your Kitchen Looks Like?"

In the course of running these virtual team building sessions,  we’ve noticed a surprising benefit. Participants love peering into their co-worker’s kitchens--and getting a small glimpse of what their everyday life is like outside of the normal conference calls and rote video meetings. A few surprising comments include: “Oh, THAT’S what Spike the dog looks like.” Or, “Emily, your teenage daughters are such good sous chefs!”
